A seven-run explosion in the third inning hoisted the Newark Pilots (13-19) to a 13-3 win over the Elmira Pioneers (23-13) at Colburn Park on Tuesday.
The Newark Pilots scored in the third on a sacrifice fly by William Gorman, a triple by Willy Yahn, a triple by Corey Lerche, a triple by Lerche, a wild pitch, , a triple by Cody Wiktorski, and a groundout by Mark Martin.
Wiktorski racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Newark Pilots.
