Sprague helps the Saugerties Stallions down the Newark Pilots 6-2

Dylan Sprague collected three hits as the Saugerties Stallions (11-21) took home a 6-2 victory over the Newark Pilots (12-18) at Colburn Park on Friday.

He singled in the third and fifth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.

Anthony Rocco allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Willy Yahn was hot from the plate for the Newark Pilots. Yahn went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

AJ Carkner recorded his third win of the year for the Saugerties Stallions. He allowed one run over three innings. Carkner struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Charlie Sobieraski (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
