A walk-off single from Tommy Mirabelli brought home the winning run for the Elmira Pioneers (20-11) in a 6-5 victory over the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (14-14) at Dunn Field on Wednesday.

Mirabelli was hot from the plate for the Elmira Pioneers. Mirabelli went 0-0 and scored one run. He singled in the ninth inning.

The Elmira Pioneers were led by Troy Squires's hitting. Squires went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Garrett Schilling improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Elmira Pioneers. Schilling struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Anthony Herrera (0-1) took the loss for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
