The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (11-12) had a tough outing on Sunday, as the Albany Dutchmen (11-13) dominated in a 12-5 win at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.
The Albany Dutchmen scored six runs in the fifth on the Albany Dutchmen scored in the fifth on a two-run double by Tyler Nelin, an RBI single by Michael Fitzsimmons, and a three-run home run by Sean Aspinall.
Aspinall racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Albany Dutchmen.
Even though Chris Amorosi allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered eight hits.
Marc Iseneker (0-3) took the loss for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
