The Saugerties Stallions (9-15) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Albany Dutchmen (10-13) dominated in an 8-2 win in seven innings at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field.
A two-run single by Michael Fitzsimmons and a two-run error helped the Albany Dutchmen score four runs in the first. The Albany Dutchmen had two hits in the inning.
Sean Aspinall had two extra-base hits for the Albany Dutchmen. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Jon Reid had an impressive outing against the Saugerties Stallions' lineup. The Saugerties Stallions managed just two hits off of the the Albany Dutchmen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.
Jared Tobey (1-2) took the loss for the Saugerties Stallions. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
The Albany Dutchmen were sparked by Aspinall and Fitzsimmons, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
