Jordan Bishop collected three hits, sparking the Elmira Pioneers (12-8) to a 6-5 victory over the Utica Brewers (9-12) on Friday at Murnane Field at Donovan Stadiu.

Mike Stephens brought the heat against the Utica Brewers during his outing. Stephens held the Utica Brewers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Mason McClellan racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Utica Brewers. He doubled in the fifth inning.

Michael Messier allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out two over six innings of work.

Michael Scarinci improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Elmira Pioneers. Scarinci struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Connor Gibson (1-1) took the loss for the Utica Brewers. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
