Miscue gives the Newark Pilots 7-6 walk-off victory over the Elmira Pioneers

A walk-off error from Anthony Spina brought home the winning run for the Newark Pilots (6-9) in a 7-6 victory over the Elmira Pioneers (10-7) in 12 innings at Colburn Park on Tuesday.

Spina did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Newark Pilots, reaching base two times.

Mark Martin was hot from the plate for the Newark Pilots. Martin went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third, tenth, and eleventh innings.

Vinny Martin improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Newark Pilots. Martin struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Michael Scarinci (0-1) took the loss for the Elmira Pioneers. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
