Eoin McAvinchey held the Newark Pilots (20-29) scoreless for six innings to boost the Victor RailRiders (26-23) to a 4-2 victory.

McAvinchey struck out eight and allowed no walks and three hits.

Brady Acker was solid at the plate for the Victor RailRiders. Acker went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Logan Harasta pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Matthew Boone got the win, running his season record to 1-1. Boone struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.

Nick Wegmann was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
