The Utica Brewers make the most of 11 hits in 8-4 victory over the Albany Dutchmen

The Utica Brewers (21-29) and the Albany Dutchmen (23-26) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Utica Brewers that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-4 win at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.

Kyle Schade went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Utica Brewers. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Krystien Johnson-Batillana brought the heat against the Albany Dutchmen during his outing. Johnson-Batillana held the Albany Dutchmen hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Grayson Lewis got a hit in each of his four at bats. He singled in the first, second, sixth, and eighth innings.

Ryan Simpler recorded his sixth win of the year for the Utica Brewers. He allowed one run over five innings. Simpler struck out five, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Brandon Nylin (1-3) took the loss for the Albany Dutchmen. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.
