A walk-off single from Tyler Plantier brought home the winning run for the Elmira Pioneers (33-17) in a 4-3 victory over the Victor RailRiders (27-23) at Dunn Field on Saturday.

Justin Hayes put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Elmira Pioneers. He doubled in the fifth and ninth innings.

Justin Lewis baffled the Victor RailRiders, striking out six batters. Lewis allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over six innings.

Luke Tomczyk was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Elmira Pioneers batters and allowing zero runs.

Andrew Mahoney recorded his first win of the year for the Elmira Pioneers. Mahoney struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Austin Wilson (2-1) took the loss for the Victor RailRiders. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
