The Newark Pilots (4-3) and the Utica Brewers (3-6) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Newark Pilots that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-2 win at Colburn Park.

Kyle Norman was hot from the plate for the Newark Pilots. Norman went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning.

Cameron Hoos pitched lights out for the Newark Pilots. Hoos held the Utica Brewers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Zach Piazza was hot from the plate for the Utica Brewers. Piazza went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Krystien Johnson-Batillana (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
