Hunter Tackett had two extra base hits, sparking the Amsterdam Mohawks (7-3) to an 11-6 victory over the Adirondack Trail Blazers (4-5) on Saturday at Robert Smith Sports Complex .
He tripled in the sixth inning, doubled in the eighth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.The Adirondack Trail Blazers couldn't get anything going so long as Joe Nellis was on the hill. Nellis held the Adirondack Trail Blazers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Kyle Walker racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Adirondack Trail Blazers. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Zach Logue got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. Logue struck out nine, walked one and gave up six hits.
Stephen Himic was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
