Vincent Capone went 2-2, sparking the Utica Brewers (3-4) to a 9-6 victory over the Saugerties Stallions (5-4) on Tuesday at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field.

Michael Messier pitched lights out for the Utica Brewers. Messier held the Saugerties Stallions hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Pat Dorrian racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Saugerties Stallions. He homered in the fifth innings.

AJ Carkner had an impressive outing against the Utica Brewers' lineup. Carkner held the Utica Brewers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ryan Simpler got his first win for the Utica Brewers despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered seven hits.
