The West Coast Kings took down the South Bay Storm 9-2 on Thursday at College Park High School after slamming the South Bay Storm (12-23) with five runs in the first inning.
Ben Foster was solid at the plate for the West Coast Kings. Foster went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and sixth innings.
Jack Stinn pitched lights out for the West Coast Kings. Stinn gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Jake Mellenthin (4-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
