The Fairfield Indians and the San Francisco Seagulls (22-18) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Fairfield Indians capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at Alan Witt Park.

Timmion Hughes got on base three times in the game for the Fairfield Indians. He tripled in the third inning.

The Fairfield Indians got the win thanks in large part to Mike Abernathy's dominant, nine-strikeout performance. Abernathy allowed two earned runs, 10 hits and one walk over nine innings.

A bright spot for the San Francisco Seagulls in the defeat was Elijah Saunders, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Bridger Dauenhauer (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed one run.
