The Top Speed Baseball (32-5) beat the Atwater Aviators 12-1 in seven innings on Tuesday at Drake High after a seven-run explosion in the sixth inning.

The Top Speed Baseball scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Jacob Carrera, a two-run single by Drew Vanisi, a three-run home run by Matthew Haskins, and an RBI single by Sam Davison.

Steven Knudson had two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Matt Chavarria improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed one run over six innings. Chavarria struck out four, walked none and gave up nine hits.

Phil Sauer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Atwater Aviators (14-24), taking a loss. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.

Haskins, Knudson, Matt Martinez and Mike Lewandowski helped lead the Top Speed Baseball. They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.
