The San Francisco Seagulls (17-15) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 8-4 to the Top Speed Baseball (26-5) on Monday.
While the San Francisco Seagulls led until the sixth inning, the Top Speed Baseball worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run single by Matt Martinez.
Mike Lewandowski racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Matt Chavarria picked up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. Chavarria pitched eight innings and allowed three earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four.
Alex Jenkins brought the heat against the Top Speed Baseball during his outing. Jenkins held the Top Speed Baseball hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.
Josh Greenberg (3-1) took the loss for the San Francisco Seagulls. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
