A superb effort by Connor Chick hoisted the Sacramento Heat (16-12) to a 7-0 win in seven innings over the Atwater Aviators (14-16) on Sunday at Sheldon High School.

Chick held the Atwater Aviators scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven.

The Sacramento Heat blew out the Atwater Aviators thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run double by Hayden Duer helped the Sacramento Heat score three runs in the sixth. The Sacramento Heat had three hits in the inning.

Wyatt Castro racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Sacramento Heat. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Trevor Griffin couldn't get it done on the bump for the Atwater Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
