Rodriguez helps the Top Speed Baseball down the South Bay Storm 5-2

The Top Speed Baseball (37-6) beat the South Bay Storm (15-30) 5-2 on Sunday at CSU East Bay behind Vincent Rodriguez, who went 2-4.

He singled in the second innings and tripled in the fourth inning.

Jordan Kurokawa baffled the South Bay Storm, striking out eight batters. Kurokawa allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over six innings.

Ryan Cortez pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and four walks while striking out three.

Jake Pannunzio recorded his second win of the year for the Top Speed Baseball. Pannunzio struck out four, walked none and gave up one hit.

Cortez (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
