The South Bay Storm outdone by Larivee and the Marysville Goldsox, 8-3

Alex Larivee knocked in three runs, sparking the Marysville Goldsox to an 8-3 victory over the South Bay Storm (8-19) on Saturday at Colusa Stadium.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the eighth innings.

Phillip Trujillo picked up the win for the Marysville Goldsox. Trujillo pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks while striking out five.

The South Bay Storm were led by Joseph Pecoraro's hitting. Pecoraro went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.

The Marysville Goldsox had no answer for Ross Slaney, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Marysville Goldsox managed just two hits off of Slaney, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Jett Gallagher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out one.
