Joseph Pecoraro went 2-3, helping the South Bay Storm (4-7) to a 2-1 victory over the San Francisco Seagulls (6-5) on Monday at CSU East Bay.
He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.The San Francisco Seagulls had no answer for Brett Bonfigli, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Bonfigli held the San Francisco Seagulls hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
A bright spot for the San Francisco Seagulls in the defeat was Justin Eclavea, who allowed only two runs while striking out seven.
Ryan Cortez recorded his first win of the year for the South Bay Storm. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Eclavea was charged with his second loss of the year.
