The San Francisco Seagulls outdone by Muller and the South Bay Storm, 8-3

Austin Muller knocked in three runs, sparking the South Bay Storm (3-7) to an 8-3 victory over the San Francisco Seagulls (6-4) on Saturday at Fairmont Field.

He singled in the first, fourth, and eighth innings and tripled in the ninth inning.

The San Francisco Seagulls had no answer for Ross Slaney, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The San Francisco Seagulls managed just three hits off of Slaney, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his six innings of work.

David Moody was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the South Bay Storm batters and allowing three runs.

Dalton Pizzuti racked up two RBIs on two hits for the San Francisco Seagulls. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jake Mellenthin improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the South Bay Storm. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered one hit.

John Tierney couldn't get it done on the mound for the San Francisco Seagulls, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
