The Atwater Aviators (4-2) jumped on the South Bay Storm (2-5) early on their way to an 11-7 win on Saturday at CSU East Bay, scoring four runs in the first inning.

The Atwater Aviators scored in the first on an RBI single by William Leskovic, a two-run single by Joe Love, and an RBI single by Leonard Aue.

Dan Reese reached base five times. He singled in the eighth inning.

Phil Sauer picked up the win for the Atwater Aviators. Sauer pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Josh Cohen was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Atwater Aviators batters and allowing one run.

Con Dempsey couldn't get it done on the hill for the South Bay Storm, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out two.
