A six-run explosion in the fourth inning led the North Shore Navigators (29-20) to an 11-4 win over the Worcester Bravehearts (21-29) at Fitton Field on Saturday.
The North Shore Navigators scored in the fourth on an RBI double by MJ Brown, an RBI double by Kyle Devin, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Sheldon Brogden, a sacrifice fly by Richie Fecteau, and an RBI single by Chad Martin.
Martin racked up three RBIs on four hits for the North Shore Navigators.
Cole OConnor picked up the win for the North Shore Navigators. OConnor pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out three.
Charlie Ameer was hot from the plate for the Worcester Bravehearts. Ameer went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the eighth and ninth innings.
Joe San Felippo couldn't get it done on the mound for the Worcester Bravehearts, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out four.
