The Nashua Silver Knights take out the Pittsfield Suns with help from Sullivan, 7-4

Ryan Sullivan went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Nashua Silver Knights (21-19) to a 7-4 victory in seven innings over the Pittsfield Suns (19-20) on Thursday at Holman Stadium.

He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth innings.

The Pittsfield Suns had no answer for Joe McCarthy, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. McCarthy held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three.

Hunter Bross racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the second inning.

Kevin Veilleux recorded his first win of the year for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed four runs over four innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered six hits.

River Carbone was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out one.
