The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (16-10) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Seacoast Mavericks (10-15) roared back to steal a 5-4 victory at Leary Field.

While the Marthas Vineyard Sharks led until the eighth inning, the Seacoast Mavericks worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Michael Purcell.

Jake Walkinshaw had an impressive outing against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' lineup. Walkinshaw held the Marthas Vineyard Sharks hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Garet Griffin racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Mike Parmentier ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
