The Bristol Blues get 8 strikeouts from Cate in 7-0 win over the North Shore Navigators

An excellent effort by Tim Cate led the Bristol Blues (15-10) to a 7-0 win over the North Shore Navigators (16-9) on Saturday at Muzzy Field.

The North Shore Navigators' lineup had no answer for Cate. The North Shore Navigators managed just one hit off of the the Bristol Blues' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out eight during his six innings of work.

The Bristol Blues blew out the North Shore Navigators thanks to 12 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Bristol Blues scored two runs in the third on the Bristol Blues scored in the third on an RBI single by Davis Strong, a single by Strong, and a sacrifice fly by Gerrad Rohan.

The Bristol Blues were led by a flawless day at the dish by Austin Chauvin, who went 3-3 against the North Shore Navigators' pitching. He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

John Lavoie was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
