The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (15-8) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-2 to the Nashua Silver Knights (11-11) on Thursday.

A three-run home run by Jimmy Hand gave the Nashua Silver Knights the lead in the sixth inning.

Ben Bengtson had two extra-base hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Kevin Magee picked up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. Magee allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Donovan Casey racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Mike Parmentier was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The Nashua Silver Knights were sparked by Bengtson and Ryan Sullivan, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
