Both the Brockton Rox (7-6) and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (9-4) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Brockton Rox that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-3 win at Campanelli Stadium.

Blake Oyler pitched lights out for the Brockton Rox. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of Oyler, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Brian Campbell had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Matthew Tulley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
