The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (9-4) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-4 to the Pittsfield Suns (6-6) on Wednesday.

An RBI double by Cam ONeill gave the Pittsfield Suns the lead in the seventh inning.

Ryan Olmo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Peyton Taylor brought the heat against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks during his outing. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of the the Pittsfield Suns' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Brian Rapp ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
