Ryan Kelly was hot from the plate for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Kelly went 4-6 and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the second, seventh, and ninth innings.
Trevor Holmes brought the heat against the Worcester Bravehearts (2-2) during his outing. The Worcester Bravehearts managed just one hit off of Holmes, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Nick Freijomil couldn't get it done on the bump for the Worcester Bravehearts, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in one-third of an inning, walked none and struck out one.
