The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (2-1) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Brockton Rox (1-2) dominated in an 8-2 win at Campanelli Stadium.

A three-run triple by Drew Blake delivered the runs in the sixth. The Brockton Rox had two hits in the inning.

Shane Adams racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brockton Rox. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Will Whitlock pitched lights out for the Brockton Rox. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of Whitlock, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' Matthew Tulley dominated the Brockton Rox's batters, giving up three runs and striking out six.

Tulley was charged with his first loss of the year.
