Abreu helps the Orleans Firebirds down the Chatham Anglers 4-2

The Orleans Firebirds (30-12) beat the Chatham Anglers (22-21) 4-2 on Saturday at Eldredge Park behind Willie Abreu, who went 1-2 and hit a home run.

He homered in the fourth inning.

Tanner Tully picked up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. Tully allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Carl Burdick had an impressive outing against the Orleans Firebirds' lineup. Burdick held the Orleans Firebirds hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

A.J. Puckett couldn't get it done on the hill for the Chatham Anglers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
