The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox take out the Chatham Anglers with help from Brusa, 2-1

Gio Brusa went 1-3, sparking the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (21-20) to a 2-1 victory over the Chatham Anglers (22-19) on Thursday at Veterans Field.

He doubled in the fourth inning.

Ben Bowden put together a nice outing. Bowden held the Chatham Anglers hitless over 3 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven.

Daniel Castano baffled the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, striking out three batters. The Chatham Anglers' pitcher gave up just five hits over five shutout innings.

Cameron Stone ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
