Jay Jabs collected three hits, sparking the Wareham Gatemen (16-23) to a 5-2 victory over the Harwich Mariners (18-21) on Thursday at Spillane Field.

Shaun Anderson pitched lights out for the Wareham Gatemen. Anderson gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Nick Walker went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Harwich Mariners. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

The Wareham Gatemen had no answer for Anthony Ciavarella, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wareham Gatemen managed just two hits off of the the Harwich Mariners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Brett Hanewich improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed two runs over five innings. Hanewich struck out eight, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Williams Durruthy couldn't get it done on the bump for the Harwich Mariners, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
