The Falmouth Commodores (13-25) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 6-1 ballgame against the Cotuit Kettleers (16-23) on Tuesday at Lowell Park.
While the Falmouth Commodores led until the sixth inning, the Cotuit Kettleers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Nick Lewis.
Will Haynie racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Cotuit Kettleers. He singled in the first and sixth innings.
The Falmouth Commodores' lineup had no answer for Lewis. Lewis held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Austin Tribby couldn't get it done on the mound for the Falmouth Commodores, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
