Garrett Hampson went 2-3, helping the Chatham Anglers (20-15) to a 4-1 victory over the Falmouth Commodores (13-21) on Wednesday at Arnie Allen Diamond.
He singled in the first and seventh innings.The Falmouth Commodores couldn't get anything going as long as Parker Dunshee was pitching. Dunshee held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
A.J. Puckett got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed one run over three innings. Puckett struck out three, walked none and gave up four hits.
Conor Costello (1-3) took the loss for the Falmouth Commodores. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
