A walk-off single from Preston Grand Pre brought home the winning run for the Wareham Gatemen (13-18) in a 2-1 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (17-15) in 10 innings at Spillane Field on Saturday.
Grand Pre paced the Wareham Gatemen at the plate. Grand Pre went 2-4. He singled in the third and tenth innings.
Evan Hill recorded his fourth win of the year for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed one run over five innings. Hill struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.
Kevin Roy was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.
