The Hyannis Harbor Hawks outdone by Solak and the Bourne Braves, 3-2

The Bourne Braves (13-15) beat the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (17-13) 3-2 on Wednesday at Doran Park behind Nick Solak, who went 1-3.

He singled in the seventh inning.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks had no answer for Austin Conway, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Conway held the Hyannis Harbor Hawks hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Matt Thaiss paced the Hyannis Harbor Hawks at the plate. Thaiss went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Ryan Keaffaber improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. He allowed one run over two innings. Keaffaber struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Vance Tatum couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
