Matthew Dacey went 2-4, sparking the Cotuit Kettleers (2-1) to a 7-2 victory over the Bourne Braves (0-3) on Thursday at Doran Park.

The Cotuit Kettleers got the win thanks in large part to Jon Woodcock's dominant, six-strikeout performance. The Cotuit Kettleers' pitcher gave up just three hits over 4 2/3 shutout innings.

Corey Julks had two extra-base hits for the Bourne Braves. He tripled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the ninth inning.

The Cotuit Kettleers couldn't get anything going so long as Zach Fox was on the hill. Fox held the Cotuit Kettleers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Ryan Keaffaber ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
