Blake Brown knocked in four runs, helping the Gateway Grizzlies (29-47) to a 7-2 victory over the Florence Freedom (35-42) on Saturday at UC Health Stadium.

Dakota Smith struck out five hitters en route to the the Gateway Grizzlies win. Smith allowed one earned run on six hits and four walks over six innings.

Collins Cuthrell did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Florence Freedom, reaching base three times. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

The Gateway Grizzlies had no answer for Seth Harvey, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Harvey held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Cody Gray ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out four.
