The Normal CornBelters got the win thanks in large part to Kevin Johnson's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Johnson allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks over seven innings.
Scott Kalamar racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He homered in the second inning and singled in the third inning.
Jeremy Holcombe (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.
