Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Gateway Grizzlies (27-44) outscored the Traverse City Beach Bums (41-28) 10-9.

The Gateway Grizzlies' Seth Heck was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and fifth innings.

Brandon Jacobs racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the first inning.

Ross Spurgeon recorded his first win of the year for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Scott Vachon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked four and struck out three.
