The Normal CornBelters (38-31) blew out the Florence Freedom (32-37) 9-1 on Thursday at UC Health Stadium after pouring on six runs in the fourth inning.

The Normal CornBelters scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Cameron Monger, a two-run double by Sam Judah, an RBI single by Mark Micowski, an RBI single by Santiago Chirino, and an RBI single by Aaron Dudley.

Monger reached base four times in the game for the Normal CornBelters. He scored one run and had one RBI.

The Florence Freedom couldn't get anything going so long as Jake Negrete was on the hill. The Florence Freedom managed just three hits off of the the Normal CornBelters' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Sam Eberle got on base four times in the game for the Florence Freedom. He singled in the sixth inning.

Tony Vocca was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out none.
