David Diaz hopes every outing could go as well as Tuesday, as Diaz tossed a shutout to carry the Rockford Aviators (40-28) to a 4-0 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers at All Pro Freight Stadium in eight innings.

Diaz held the Lake Erie Crushers (28-37) scoreless during his seven innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up six.

Elijah Trail racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Rockford Aviators. He homered in the third innings.

Todd Kibby (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
