Dillon Haupt had two extra base hits, sparking the Frontier Greys (29-34) to a 3-1 victory over the Joliet Slammers (27-38) on Saturday at Silver Cross Field.
He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.Brett Shankin racked up five strikeouts in the the Frontier Greys win. Shankin allowed no earned runs, five hits and two walks over six innings.
Spencer Medick (0-1) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
