An outstanding effort by Max White led the Windy City ThunderBolts (27-37) to a 17-5 win over the River City Rascals (34-31) on Saturday at Standard Bank Stadium.
White racked up eight RBIs on four hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He tripled in the first inning and homered in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.
The Windy City ThunderBolts blew out the River City Rascals thanks to 19 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Windy City ThunderBolts scored seven runs in the sixth on the Windy City ThunderBolts scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Coco Johnson, a home run by White, and a two-run double by Marquis Riley.
James Ferguson put together a nice outing. Ferguson held the River City Rascals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
Brian Hansen went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Zak Wasserman recorded his third win of the year for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered seven hits.
Dane Stone couldn't get it done on the hill for the River City Rascals, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out three.
