The Rockford Aviators drub the Normal CornBelters, 10-4

The Normal CornBelters (35-30) had a tough outing on Saturday, as the Rockford Aviators (38-26) dominated in a 10-4 win at Aviator Stadium.

The Rockford Aviators scored three runs in the eighth on the Rockford Aviators scored in the eighth on an RBI double by Devon Rodriguez and a two-run single by Danny Stienstra.

Rodriguez boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Rockford Aviators.

It was a good day at the plate for the Normal CornBelters' Mark Micowski. Micowski went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, third, and eighth innings.

Kyle Hassna got the win, running his season record to 8-2. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked six and surrendered four hits.

Kevin Johnson (4-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out two.
