A great effort by Chris Sweeney lifted the Evansville Otters (43-20) to a 9-3 win over the Gateway Grizzlies (23-39) on Thursday at GCS Ballpark.
Sweeney blasted two home runs for the Evansville Otters. Sweeney went 3-5 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. Sweeney homered in the first and fifth innings.

Brett Marshall improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed two runs over six innings. Marshall struck out five, walked four and gave up five hits.
