Anderson Hidalgo went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Lake Erie Crushers (26-34) to a 2-0 victory in seven innings over the Florence Freedom (30-33) on Thursday at All Pro Freight Stadium.
He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.Todd Kibby pitched lights out for the Lake Erie Crushers. The Florence Freedom managed just three hits off of Kibby, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Mike Devine improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. Devine struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.
Jeremy Gooding was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
